Lo2: Describe the impact of the Agricultural Revolution
The Major effect from the agricultural revolution was the increase in food, and being able to supply more food for more people. When they were able to supply more food, any family that stayed there and promised to stay there for at least 5 years was allowed to access the food and their land for free as a reward. This also helped raise the population in certain areas because of their economy's success. Also it changed the roles of women in those populations.
Lo3: To Identify and Describe the 5 characteristics of civilization
1)Specialized workers: For civilizations to be advanced they needed to have food surpluses while having many other things needed. So when a society had food surpluses, they were able to let some of their food workers specialize in other jobs to make everything surplus and make it a successful civilization. So they started with a surplus in food, then were able to focus on something else not having to worry as much about food anymore.
2)Complex Institutions: Institutions are groups of people who are sharing a specific purpose. One example of an Institution is schools, when they all want to improve children's intelligence and knowledge. Civilizations needed advanced institutions so they can reach their spiritual needs as well.
3)Record Keeping: Societies must be able to keep track of many things, such as how much food they have or if they have a food surplus. They have to maintain their information to not lose track of the situations that they are in.
4)Advanced Technology: As people in societies learn how to do things better, or make a better product, they are going to advance. All civilizations need to have advanced technology in order to be successful and not fall behind.
5)Advanced Cities: Farmers and workers wanted to make money as usual back then, so they needed a place to sell their crops or products. So if you have advanced cities in your society there would be areas for farmers to sell their crops making them more successful. Therefor making them want to stay and increasing the population of your civilization even more and making it more successful.
